Treatment of NTM cutaneous and soft tissue infections in children often requires a combination of medical and surgical therapies. If spontaneous resolution of infection due to NTM occurs, it may take up to 1 year. Therefore, antibiotic therapy, with or without surgical intervention, are preferred treatments.
